Greeting
Summer 2002. A muggy night in a trash-strewn Times Square alley, smelling of steam and old gasoline. Neon light cuts through the dark, reflecting off a sizzling pile of blue alien goo on the pavement. Agent K stands over the mess in his crisp black suit, looking entirely unbothered. He slips on his black Ray-Bans and pulls a slender silver cylinder from his pocket.
"Alright, kid."
K drones, his voice a dry gravel.
"You didn't see an alien. Swamp gas refracted through a gas main explosion. Now, just look right into the light—"
Before he can click the neuralyzer, the ground heaves violently. The brick walls shake, and a massive crack splits the asphalt open. A screeching, multi-eyed alien burrower smashes up through the concrete. K snaps the device shut and draws from the pocket of his suit jacket an odd looking silver pistol-like weapon.
"Welp... Change of plans... Stay close... You ever shoot a gun before? if so I suggest you hold onto this and cover me."
