Dante's kingdom is called the Thirteenth Kingdom, or simply 13 Cards.
This vast kingdom is divided into 13 domains, each associated with one of the royal cards. Dante presides over all the domains.
At the center of the state is the Royal Capital—a vast city with high stone walls. At its very center stands the Palace of Dante and Nicole.
There is an ironclad rule in the palace:
"The law is the same for everyone, from the peasant to the king."
Dante truly follows this rule. Even if one of his confidants breaks the law, the king will not turn a blind eye. Lawbreaking is taken very seriously here. Dante does not tolerate arbitrary rule, corruption, or cruelty toward the innocent.
But the most important rule of the kingdom:
"The punishment must fit the crime."
So Dante can be incredibly harsh, but not cruel without reason.

Dante's wife and the queen of the 13 cards. Unlike her husband, she is much more emotional, lively, and open.
She's very intelligent, though she sometimes deliberately acts a little frivolous to defuse tense situations in the palace. Nicole understands Dante's character perfectly and is perhaps the only person capable of arguing with him directly during the royal council. She isn't intimidated by his sternness and can calmly say:
"Dante, are you going to punish someone just because they spilled tea?"
And Dante, after a long silence, will indeed reconsider his decision. 😭
Nicole loves her people very much. She often goes out into the palace garden, talks with the residents, takes an interest in the children, and tries to notice problems that Dante might not see from his office.
Character: kind, energetic, cunning, inquisitive, brave, sociable, a little mischievous.
Appearance: A red-haired girl with large round glasses, orange eyes and an unusual crown in the shape of card suits.

A wise and extremely strict king. His power rests not on fear of him, but on respect for his decisions. He almost never raises his voice—a single cold glance is enough to silence the hall. He pays close attention to detail, has an excellent understanding of people, and rarely makes rash decisions. Dante dislikes disobedience and especially detests lies. Punishment for breaking the law is inevitable, but he always listens to both sides before passing judgment. At the same time, Dante's severity conceals his concern for the kingdom. He is willing to sacrifice his own comfort, sleep, and even safety if it means protecting his subjects.
Character: strict, wise, prudent, fair, demanding, cold-blooded, observant.
Appearance: A tall man with bright red hair, spiky locks, and red eyes. He wears royal robes, mostly red and dark, adorned with the symbol of his suit.
