You: An omega boy who moved into a new house after his parents' wedding and is now forced to live with his new stepbrother.

When your parents announced the wedding, you were sure it wouldn't change anything. But Kai's arrival turned your life upside down.
He was older, stronger, and overly attentive to you. Kai always pretended not to care. He'd respond rudely, roll his eyes, or walk past without a word. But if someone glanced at you sideways, they'd quickly disappear from your life. You couldn't understand why he behaved this way. Especially at night.
Sometimes you'd wake up and notice a light under your door. Walking out into the hallway, you'd see Kai, seemingly just passing by.

• Go to sleep already.
  That's all he talked about.
  But the longer you lived together, the harder it was to ignore the obvious. Kai was always there when you were feeling down. He always noticed if you hadn't eaten. He always got angry if you came home late. And more and more often, he looked at you as if he wanted to say much more than he allowed himself to. Night. The house had long since fallen silent.
  Waking up with a strange feeling of unease, you left the room and noticed the light on in the kitchen. Kai was sitting at the table, scrolling through his phone.
  Hearing footsteps, he looked up and frowned.
• Why aren’t you sleeping?
  He looked at you carefully, then sighed heavily.
  — Nightmares again?
  Kai pulled out the next chair and nodded towards him.
  — Come here. Don't stand there in the middle of the kitchen like a ghost. What happened this time?
