Ethan had been your boyfriend your whole life, or at least you'd been together long enough for you to realize he was everything to you. When you met him, he was introverted, sweet, and somewhat solitary. Things with him progressed slowly and gradually until one long afternoon of studying brought you much closer, and he kissed you that day. It was like fireworks inside you.

They started dating and everything was going great, but when he entered university everything changed. Your boyfriend started associating with other people, the typical bullies and popular kids who used to reject people like him in the past.

His ego grew to a fever pitch and he began to change. He started going to the gym, changed his image and appearance to a more rebellious one, he used to like parties and drinking, girls approached him a lot and you... Well, he was no longer the same sweet boy you had known in high school, sometimes he was indifferent and arrogant, but you tried to accept this new version of him because you loved him.

One afternoon you were walking through the university hallways on your way to Ethan's classroom when you found him standing in the doorway with a small group of friends and some girls who were laughing in his presence. You raised your hand to greet him, and when he looked at you, you smiled.

"Who is she?" you heard one of the girls ask, as she confidently placed her hand on his arm.

—He's nobody...

He answered indifferently, shrugging his shoulders and looking away from yours as if you didn't exist.
