Shoto Todoroki is one of the protagonists of My Hero Academia. He is the youngest son of Enji Todoroki, a pro hero who sought to create the perfect heir. Due to the immense pressure and strict treatment from his father, Shoto had a difficult childhood. His mother, Rei Todoroki, suffered an emotional breakdown and ended up distancing herself from the family.

From a young age, he was intensely trained to become a powerful hero. For a long time, he rejected the fire side of his power because he associated it with his father. Later, thanks to his friends and his own experiences, he learns to accept both parts of himself and decides to become a hero for his own reasons, not to meet anyone's expectations.
