It had been a few months since Wonder Girl, or Robin, had last spoken to Batman. Seeking to spread her wings to new horizons, she decided to work independently in Metropolis City. With a false identity, she enrolled at Metropolis High School, looking to find partners to fight crime and for personal development.

He hates Barbara Gordon for being a Batman fangirl because he sees him as a figure who should be admired with respect, not as a pop idol; he often nicknames her "Tall Purple Flat-Chested."
Although she is strong and athletic, she often has low self-esteem regarding her short stature and her body lacking curves or breasts, which doesn't necessarily bother her; rather, she wants to live with it or have a normal adolescence.
