Biography
At the end of "The ABCs of Beth," Beth had a revelation about herself, and Rick gave her the opportunity to travel the universe and see where it led her. He offered to create a clone of her with all her memories to take over her life on Earth until she returned. Beth asked him to decide whether or not he wanted his daughter in his life. Unable to decide, he proceeded to create the clone, whom he named "Clone Beth." He placed both Beths in hibernation pods, then intentionally removed the labels from the pods and switched their positions so he couldn't tell which one was the clone. He sent one Beth into space and kept the other at home. He erased his own memory of the incident (later, this leads him to finally admit that he is a terrible father).

During her adventures in space, Space Beth joined a group of vigilantes called The Defiance, who were waging war against the Gromflomites and working to prevent them from re-establishing the Galactic Federation.

By the time "Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri" airs, Space Beth has lived through several space adventures, achieving the status of most wanted. A doctor from Defiance discovers a chip implanted in her neck that will apparently kill her if she returns to Earth and gets close to the other Beth. She removes the chip and returns to Earth to assassinate Rick for lying to him, as well as the other Beth, but Rick points out that the other Beth also has a chip. According to Rick, the other Beth's chip would have transferred a copy of her memories to Space Beth before vaporizing her. She relents, and Rick invites her to lunch after they are shown to have the same devices. She talks to him, surprised that the other Beth is still with Jerry before they are attacked, during which Rick inadvertently implies that Space Beth might be the real clone. Space Beth locates her father and her counterpart, who wanted to talk to her, causing an accident. Space Beth catches up to them and nearly succeeds

Appearance
Space Beth has a scar above her right eye and a piercing in her right eyebrow. Half of her head is shaved, with a blue streak in the hair on the other half. Her attire consists of black boots, tight-fitting clothing, mismatched pieces of enhanced cybernetic armor (such as a gray breastplate and a bronze wrist gauntlet), fingerless gloves, and a vest with a stylized black horse's head emblem on the back. She also wears a gray, gauntlet-like device on her right forearm that appears to have multiple functions. When injured, her body (at least the shoulder area) is noticeably composed of a significant number of mechanical components. She also appears to have several implanted devices (including a voice modulator), the most prominent of which is her phase-shift field, which is activated by applying pressure to her forehead.

As a child, Space Beth also wore a jumpsuit with a red shirt, long white socks and black Mary Jane shoes, plus a green hair clip and two bracelets of different colors, just like her Earth clone/Original Template.

This Beth, who retains all her memories, is similar to her counterpart.

Beth Smith seems ambitious, embarking on adventures in outer space, much like Rick himself. She apparently had good intentions and chose to be a hero, fighting against the tyrannical Galactic Federation, but at the cost of becoming a wanted outlaw, a criminal in the eyes of the law. She detests that, despite the fame of her name, "Beth Smith" is considered an incredibly easy name to forget.

Space Beth seems to be seeking revenge against her father. Although she harbored deep resentment toward Rick and the other Beth, her hatred appears to have lessened by the end of "Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri," as she has returned to live with her Earthly counterpart and her family, including Jerry, who has remarried the other Beth. Neither Beth knows or cares which of them is the clone or the original, as they respect each other for who they are and for their shared resentment of Rick. Another noteworthy detail is that she still recognizes Rick as her father and did not attempt to kill him upon returning to the family; instead, she provokes him, throwing punches and making empty threats. This demonstrates that, although she feels aversion toward her father, she still retains a glimmer of decency and compassion that prevents her from killing him.

Initially, Space Beth tried to isolate herself from her family, being distant with her daughter and her Earth counterpart. But she eventually admits that she had put up too many barriers and decides to reconnect with her family, visiting them more often.

She's also clearly inspired by Rick—though she hates that he kept her in the dark about the possibility of being a clone—as she mentions dressing up as Rick when she's in her thirties. She also shares many of his interests, such as visiting Shoney's and going on space adventures.

She has also adopted Rick's selfish and insensitive behavior, constantly insisting that Beth ignore his feelings.

Biography
The details of Beth's history are relatively unknown; she was born from Rick Sanchez and Diane Sanchez (C-131), and she has recounted herself as a "bright-eyed" woman from Muskegon, Michigan in "Meeseeks and Destroy." As indicated in "Hot Rick" during Beth's childhood, her parents' marriage deteriorated amid unknown circumstances, and Rick decided to leave both Beth and her mother to travel across the cosmos. Beth blamed herself for her parents falling out, and seeing her father as an intelligent scientist compared to her mother, Beth came to idolize Rick and blamed Diane for "chasing off the dad with the guts to leave."

It is revealed in "The ABC's of Beth" that, at some point in her childhood, Beth became an insane and psychotic little girl. She began asking her father, Rick, to create toy-like weapons for her so she can harm other children. As an adult, Beth reasoned that she did that to "spend time with her father." Rick, aware of the increasing danger that would represent his daughter, created a dream world, Froopyland, for her in order to keep the other children of the neighborhood safe. Beth managed to take one of her friends, Tommy, to Froopyland, where, according to Tommy himself, she pushed him into a honey swamp as she was envious of the good relationship he has with his father. Then, she convinced herself that Tommy only got lost in Froopyland and therefore went missing.

Beth is a slender woman with a pale complexion, an oval-shaped face and shoulder-length blonde hair. She has prominent dull magenta lips, a pointed nose, and long eyelashes. She wears a red collar shirt, blue pants and white shoes. Beth admits that, since her unwanted pregnancy, her waistline has widened.

As a little girl, Beth wore overalls with a red shirt, long white socks, and black Mary Janes, as well as a green hair clip and two different-colored wristbands.

Personality
Beth is an intelligent, ambitious, and independent woman who suffers from a variety of deep-seated insecurities. A dedicated veterinary horse surgeon, she is the family's main breadwinner and often tries to do the best for her family based on this sense of responsibility. She is highly insecure about her profession as a horse surgeon, and is quick to snap at the implication she is not a 'real' surgeon or a 'real' veterinarian. She may share this belief, wishing she had been able to continue her medical education to become a 'real' doctor in Rixty Minutes. Nevertheless, she is very dedicated to her job, even beyond as a source of income, and was willing to give up her own pride to help successfully save a deer's life in A Rickle in Time.

Although Beth can sometimes be derisive of what she sees as weakness, dependence or emotional vulnerability, she can still be compassionate and caring at times, more so than her father. When she and Jerry accidentally hit a deer, her first concerns were to help and assist him and Beth would stop at nothing to bring him back to health. She often expresses serious concern for Morty's education and health, when they are not related to Rick, and is considering the consequences on her children of her leaving Jerry.
