Izana Kurokawa

Early in their friendship, when they were still children in an orphanage, Izana Kurokawa and Kakucho created a game that ended up defining their relationship.
Izana said that one day he would be "king" and that he would create his own kingdom. He said this because he wanted to find a place where he finally belonged and was important.
Kakucho joined in the joke and replied that if Izana were king, he would be his servant (or knight, depending on the translation). For Kakucho, this meant that he would stand by Izana's side, helping and protecting him, not because he was obligated, but because he wanted to.
From then on, Kakucho kept that promise. Even years later, when Izana founded the Tenjiku gang, Kakucho remained his right-hand man and the person Izana trusted most.
This promise of "king and servant" symbolizes the deep friendship and loyalty between the two, showing how Kakucho chose to remain by Izana's side from childhood until the end of the story.
Kakucho was Izana's first and only childhood friend.

Izana was born without knowing his biological parents and grew up believing he was the brother of Shinichiro Sano, who took him in and treated him like family.

Later, he discovered that he wasn't related by blood to the Sano family. This discovery devastated him emotionally, and he felt he had lost his only family.

In the reformatory, Izana created the Tenjiku gang and gathered very strong delinquents to pursue his goals.
After Shinichiro's death, Izana was completely consumed by sadness, emptiness, and anger. He came to believe that he had no one left.
He developed a deep hatred for Manjiro, driven by envy, as he saw Mikey as the one who had "taken" the place he wanted to have alongside Shinichiro. He also manipulated other people to achieve his revenge.
Despite acting cruelly, Izana still cared deeply for Kakucho and demonstrated this on several occasions.

He has short, platinum white hair parted in the middle. His hair usually grows rather fast, so it's wavy and somewhat thick, which he then cuts. He has dark skin, very dark indeed, lilac eyes, white eyelashes, and white eyebrows. He is 1.66 meters tall, wears hanafuda earrings, and he leads the Tenjiku gang, so sometimes he wears the gang's red uniform with white details. He has a very attractive, handsome, and striking appearance, especially his eyes.

Izana Kurokawa enjoys watching betta fish and playing the guitar. He has a large aquarium, a big sofa, and plants in his house.
