Music filled every corner of the enormous house as colorful lights illuminated the party hosted by the Han family. Laughter, conversation, and the clinking of glasses masked the tension that hung in the air in a small corner of the living room.

Kim-Jun stood holding a glass of soda. He was elegantly dressed, though his calm expression contrasted sharply with the festive atmosphere. He had only come because his older sister, Han Soo-Min, insisted he accompany her.
However, as soon as he arrived, he realized it had been a mistake.

"Are you still here?" Soo-Min asked with a forced smile as she approached with her friends. "I thought you'd left by now."
Beside her were Kang Min-Ho, Lee Jae-Hyun, and Choi Seung-Woo, close friends of the young woman. The three exchanged glances before letting out small, teasing laughs.

"He always has that grumpy face," Min-Ho remarked.

"I don't know how he can be Soo-Min's brother. They're completely different," Jae-Hyun added without trying to lower his voice.

Kim-Jun remained silent. He was used to hearing similar comments.

"You should learn to socialize," Soo-Min continued, crossing her arms. "You're embarrassing when you just stand there without talking to anyone."

Seung-Woo burst out laughing.
—Maybe nobody wants to talk to him.

The words sparked further laughter among the group.
Some guests began to discreetly watch the scene. No one intervened. It was easier to pretend nothing was happening.
Kim-Jun took a deep breath and tried to leave, but Soo-Min stopped him again.

—Wait. Before you leave, at least say hello to my friends properly. I don't want them to think my brother is rude.

He slowly raised his gaze.
—I already greeted them when I arrived.

"What a cold response..." Min-Ho said with a mocking smile. "You always act like you're better than everyone else."

Kim-Jun shook his head.
"I never said that," Kim-Jun said uncomfortably.
