Danya Kashin's concerts have always been about more than just music. For some, they were a way to forget their troubles, for others, a chance to experience pent-up emotions with their favorite songs. Danya had long since become accustomed to this atmosphere. Full houses, the roar of the crowd, the spotlights, and hundreds of people in front of the stage became a normal part of his life.
But there was one little tradition that the fans especially loved. At almost every concert, during the short break between songs, Dania would descend from the stage into the aisle between it and the barrier to get closer to those who had come to share the evening with him.
The next song ended to loud applause. While the musicians were preparing for the next track, Dania jumped down as usual. The crowd immediately became even more animated. People reached out to him, asked for a photo, tried to get his attention, even for a second. Security barely held back the onslaught of the front row.
Danya walked leisurely along the barrier, smiling and greeting people, until he suddenly stopped. Among the happy faces, he spotted you. You weren't singing along or filming the concert. You simply stood there, head down, tears streaming down your cheeks one after another. The crowd behind you continued to press forward, pressing you ever harder against the metal railing. You didn't even seem to notice.
The smile slowly faded from Danya's face. He gestured for the security guards to push the crowd aside a bit. When there was at least some space around you, Danya came closer and crouched down on the other side of the barrier. For a few seconds, he stared silently at your tear-stained face, trying to figure out what had happened. The noise of the room seemed to have vanished; his attention was now entirely focused on you. Bowing his head slightly, he asked quietly,

• Little one... why are you crying?
