Grenade Bracers (籠こ手て Kote?): A support added by Katsuki to his hero costume, these bracers serve to store his nitroglycerin-containing sweat, essentially acting as a storage tank. Beneath the large grenades are other, fabric bracers with receptors that collect the sweat and channel it into the tank. Once fully charged, he can unleash a massive explosion without sustaining any damage. He first uses this equipment in the Test Battle, where he destroys a large portion of the building with just one charged bracer. Externally, handles protrude, protecting the bracer's safety mechanism that releases the explosion. This prevents the safety from being accidentally pulled during intense battles, either by the user or their opponent.

Improvised Grenades: On the belt of Katsuki's hero costume are hand grenades that serve a similar purpose to his gauntlets; when filled with nitroglycerin, they can be used as regular grenades. They are first seen in use by Denki during the Provisional Hero License Exam.

Knee pads: They serve the purpose of protecting his knees, but the purpose for which they were added to the suit was to use them as a blunt weapon, although he has never been seen using them for that purpose.

Heavy Suppression Maneuver: Strafe Panzer (面めん制せい圧あつ重じゅう装そう機き動どう ストレイフパンツァー Men Seiatsu Jūsō Kidō Sutoreifu Pantsā ?): Katsuki's special hero costume equipment. It consists of retractable machine guns that deploy from the back and are mounted on his shoulders. Similar to the Grenade Bracers, it uses his nitroglycerin-like sweat as ammunition.

Explode-A-Pult (爆破式エクスカタパルト Ekusu Kataparuto): While airborne, Katsuki grabs his opponent with one arm, then propels himself into a spinning motion, firing explosions with his free arm. Once he gains enough momentum, Katsuki forcefully throws his opponent with the help of another explosion. He first used this technique against Togaru Kamakiri in the fourth round of the Joint Training Battle.
Mine Blast Wave (爆ばく風ふう地じ雷らい Bakufū Jirai ?): Katsuki kneels and places his Grenade Gauntlets on the ground, detonates them, and creates a blast wave that clears everything around him.
Detroit Smash (デトロイトスマッシュ Detoroito Sumasshu ?): When he temporarily shared One For All with Izuku and activated One For All: Full Cowl - 100%, he used this move for the first and last time with Izuku to destroy Nine's massive fire tornado. He used his left arm while Izuku used his right, and they slammed into the sky, where a powerful gust of wind destroyed the tornado, causing it to explode.[14]

Howitzer Impact (榴弾砲着弾 ハウザーインパクト Hauzā Inpakuto?): This move is the strongest move in Katsuki's arsenal, involving Katsuki taking to the air and then using explosions to propel himself in a circular motion to create a tornado. This tornado gathers oxygen to fuel the incoming blast. After colliding with the target, Katsuki releases the aforementioned powerful blast. Present Mic compared the technique's effectiveness to that of an actual missile. Katsuki first used Howitzer Impact in the final match of the UA Sports Festival Finals. He has also shown that he can release the fueled blast in mid-air, without having to make contact with the target.
AP Shot (徹甲弾, A・P・ショット, Ei Pī Shotto?): Katsuki extends one of his hands and uses his other hand to form a circle in his outstretched palm. Katsuki then fires a blast through the circle, which creates a concentrated blast beam. By focusing the path of his blasts onto a single point instead of around his entire palm, Katsuki creates a concentrated blast with a reduced impact area, but still enough power to successfully pierce through solid concrete.
AP Shot: Auto-Cannon (徹甲弾A・P・ショット機関銃オートカノン Ei Pī Shotto Ōtokanon ?): It is a derivation of the super movement AP Shot, this one is faster and the power of the explosion is reduced in order to not seriously damage people who are near the user's area.
AP Machine-Gun (徹甲機銃A・P・マシンガン Ē-Pī Mashingan ?): A stronger version of the AP Shot: Auto-Cannon, where Katsuki fires larger and faster blasts. This technique was first used against Tomura in the Paranormal Liberation War.

Blast Rush Turbo (爆速ターボ Bakusoku Tābo ?): Katsuki places his hands back and then releases multiple blasts from his palms, propelling himself forward and running faster. This move can also be used to achieve a form of flight, as Katsuki used this move to fly over the giant robots during the obstacle course at the Sports Festival.
Blast Rush Turbo: Cluster (爆ばく速そくターボ クラスター Bakusoku Tābo Kurasutā ?): Much like his Blast Rush Turbo, Katsuki positions his hands back and uses blasts to rapidly propel himself forward, only this time, he condenses them to make the blasts stronger and faster, resulting in a flurry of blasts that propel him forward at incredible speeds.
Stun Grenade (閃光弾スタングレネード Sutan Gurenēdo ?): Katsuki begins by creating a sphere of light between his hands that explodes in a large-scale flash. Similar to the effect of an actual stun grenade, the flash of light blinds anyone nearby. He first used this technique to defeat Fumikage Tokoyami.
Zero Distance Stun Grenade (ゼロ距きょ離り閃光弾スタングレネード Zero Kyori Sutan Gurenēdo?): A variation where Katsuki fires his stun grenade at point-blank range of the opponent to immediately stun and immobilize them with little lasting damage. This variation was first used against Setsuna in the fourth round of the Joint Training Battle.

One For All (ワン・フォー・オール Wan Fō Ōru): Transferred to him by Izuku Midoriya, One For All allowed Katsuki to accumulate a massive amount of raw energy, enabling him to significantly enhance all of his physical abilities to a superhuman level. This resulted in incredible levels of strength, speed, agility, and durability. It also provided an exceptional power boost to his Quirk, Explosion.

At the end of his fight against Nine, Katsuki lost One For All, and the Quirk remained in Izuku's body. Toshinori initially suspected that Izuku retained One For All because Katsuki lost consciousness before the transfer was completed, but later theorized that his Quirk remained within Izuku due to his willingness to protect others, even if it meant losing One For All.[14]

One For All: Full Cowl - 100% (ワン・フォー・オール フルカウル 100%パーセント Wan Fō Ōru Furu Kauru 100 Pāsento ?): Katsuki activates One For All at its full power in Full Cowl, granting him a tremendous boost in speed and strength. Katsuki's first and only use of this technique was against Nine to defend Nabu Island. The power surge caused orange energy to erupt from Katsuki's eyes, distorting his pupils and irises. His hair also became more spiky, and his entire body glowed with a yellowish hue, crackling orange electricity around him. When fused with Explosion, Katsuki's original Quirk became so powerful that his standard explosions could create enormous craters. The temperature of the explosions also increased to the point where they could melt through solid rock in a manner similar to lava when Katsuki approached it.[14]

Another drawback of Katsuki's Quirk is that he's unable to use his explosions in areas filled with flammable gas, as his explosions would ignite the gas and spread it even further. Furthermore, because his Quirk relies on his sweaty palms, it's more difficult for him to use it effectively in colder climates. Without the sweat on his palms, he can't utilize his Quirk to its full potential.

Explosion (爆破 Bakuha ?): Katsuki's Quirk allows him to secrete nitroglycerin through the sweat of his hands and detonate it at will to create explosions.[7] The more Bakugo sweats, the stronger his explosions are.[8] As stated by Best Jeanist, Katsuki has a strong understanding in the applications of his Quirk.[9] He typically uses small, powerful explosions from his hands to not only explode his opponents, but to propel himself and move through the air as well, among other non-combat related utilities. He can keep up the sequence of his explosions long enough to destroy a giant ice wall created by Shoto.[10]

The explosions are powerful enough to send his opponents flying without much time for them to react.[11] He can use them quickly enough to evade incoming attacks, even while in mid-air.[10][12] His most powerful explosion yet (without the need for the Grenade Bracers) was used to completely destroy Ochaco Uraraka's meteor shower, and send her flying away from him with the ensuing shockwave that shook the entire Sports Festival stadium.[13] Though he later uses it multiple times in a row when facing All Might in the final exam's physical test.

Katsuki does take some of the impact of his explosions due to the magnitude of the blasts, but the overall effect is minimal given his physical conditioning. He is able to trigger constant explosions around him without feeling any negative repercussions, even after many powerful blasts. However, overuse can result in Bakugo eventually injuring his arms from the force of the powerful blasts.

Leadership Skills: Katsuki has always been criticized for his lack of cooperation, usually as a result of his overwhelming ego preventing him from following others' lead. However, thanks to Katsuki's own determination, perfectionism, and intelligence, he is a capable leader should others choose to follow him. During the fourth round of Joint Training, Setsuna Tokage admitted that even if her team attacked him all at once, they had no chance of victory. In the end, despite Class 1-B's exceptional teamwork and Tokage's strategic planning, they failed to capture a single member of Class 1-A, primarily due to Katsuki's efforts, adaptability, and superior skills.
Musical talent: Katsuki is very skilled at playing the drums, having attended lessons in the past

General Abilities: Katsuki has proven to be one of the strongest students in Class 1-A, both in his physical and theoretical abilities. Many professional heroes have highlighted his immense skill, including Shota Aizawa himself, All Might, and even the No. 3 Hero, Best Jeanist. The League of Villains has also recognized his strength, sending them to capture him in an attempt to convince him to join them.

Enhanced Strength: Katsuki possesses superior physical strength to the rest of his classmates since he has years of practice and has had fights on par with Izuku when he has used his Quirk or has also known how to pressure and reduce Shoto Todoroki during his battle at the festival.
Keen Intellect: Despite having an aggressive and childish nature, Katsuki has proven on many occasions to be intelligent, strategic, and cunning, such as when he managed to discover Kurogiri's weak point and Fumikage's weakness. He also managed to analyze the villains who attacked USJ and determined which of them was the most deadly in the long run. Several professional heroes (including All Might) have acknowledged his strong sense and potential for combat. Shota Aizawa has emphasized that Katsuki's innate talent shines through when he is in battle. Although his combat ability is greatly emphasized, he has also been shown to have a written intellect, being the third highest-ranking student in exams.

Katsuki is a young man of above-average height, with a lean, muscular build and fair skin. He has short, spiky, ash-blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and a bright scarlet.

At the Academy, he wears the standard UA uniform without the usual red tie. Under his blazer, he wears a white collared shirt with the top buttons undone. His pants are loose, causing them to sag at the ankles, even though he wears a belt.

His hero costume consists of a tight, black, muscle-hugging T-shirt with an orange "X" in the center, forming a V-neck. There are two dots along the left side of his collar, indicating the support company that designed his costume. His costume also features a metal collar with rectangular ends, each with three holes. His sleeves extend from inside his large, grenade-shaped gauntlets to his biceps. His belt, which also carries grenades, holds up his baggy pants with knee pads, beneath which he wears knee-high black combat boots with orange soles and eyelets. His mask is jagged and black, and as it wraps around his eyes, a large, orange-rimmed flare protrudes from each side.

His winter hero costume consists of a large jacket with a high collar, instead of the usual sleeveless shirt, although it has the same orange "X" design, so he can still sweat a sufficient amount; that's how his Quirk works.

During his internship with Best Jeanist, he wore a pair of tight blue jeans with his hero costume, instead of his usual baggy pants. His hair was also styled and parted to the side during this time.

His inspiration to become a hero was the same as Izuku's: the Symbol of Peace, All Might. However, their beliefs differ: Katsuki feels that a hero should never stop fighting or give up, regardless of the threat they face, and that always winning is the mark of a true hero. Furthermore, due to his arrogant and boastful behavior, several heroes, civilians, and even villains have commented that his demeanor is more villainous than heroic. Nevertheless, Katsuki is unwavering in his goal of becoming a hero, having flatly rejected Tomura's invitation to join the Alliance of Villains.

Initially, when he was defeated, he would go into a kind of shock, and furthermore, he wouldn't admit he was superior to others when the fight ended without him landing the final blow, like when he fought Ochaco Uraraka at the Sports Festival and they decided to end the match before he could finish Ochaco off. As the story progressed, Katsuki's personality gradually changed. He started out as very arrogant and intolerant, but little by little, he softened his attitude to the point of implicitly showing concern for others, as demonstrated in the Provisional Hero License Exam when he reduced his explosions so as not to harm Denki and Eijiro, or when he waited for Eijiro to return from the battle against the Eight Precepts of Death. He has also shown empathy, as in the case of Shoto, when he overheard his past.

Personality
Katsuki presented himself as a very impulsive, aggressive, and arrogant person, as seen in the way he treated Izuku, whom he constantly violated physically and psychologically, even telling him to kill himself, showing his bastardly attitude.
He has a superiority complex, always wanting to be the best at everything and trying to prove it at all costs; however, even with these traits, he knows how to admit when he has been defeated, as demonstrated during the Trial Battle, when at the entrance of the academy, Izuku tried to explain to him that his Quirk One For All came from another person, and Katsuki interpreted that he was mocking him, so he tried to shut him up by saying that he simply beat him.[4]
In battle, he tends to be quite bloodthirsty and aggressive, even to the point of making the word "shine" a catchphrase. His brutal fighting style is shown in the battle test, in which he mercilessly attacks Izuku and recklessly destroys everything in the enclosed environment they were in. Despite this, and regardless of his lack of compassion, he has been recognized for his enormous talent and skill in combat, as he not only attacks and destroys, but is also able to use his Quirk to move through the air. This has been noted by Momo Yaoyorozu, Shoto Todoroki,[5] and even All Might himself.[6]

Although he's not the most charismatic hero, as the story progresses his behavior slowly begins to mature, becoming less rude and arrogant. As the year goes on, he starts to trust and cooperate with his classmates, whom he previously rejected because he wanted to do everything on his own, neither helping nor expecting help. That egotism cost him several mistakes in class that led to defeat or came very close to it, were it not for his reluctant cooperation with his classmates.

Katsuki Bakugo played the leader of the rebellious children in "Winning the Hearts of Brats".

Katsuki Bakugo (爆ばく豪ごう勝かつ己き Bakugō Katsuki ?)[2], also known as Kacchan (かっちゃん Katchan ?) by his friends and by his hero name God of the Great Killing Explosion Dynamight (大だい•爆ばく•殺さつ•神しんダイナマイト Daibakusatsu-Shin Dainamaito ?), was a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, where he trained to become a professional hero. He is the deuteragonist of the series and Izuku Midoriya's childhood friend turned rival.

Eight years after the final war, Katsuki graduated from UA Academy, and has achieved the rank of top-level professional hero, maintaining an unrelenting determination to defeat his opponents.[3]
