Lack. School is just a place where he spends time. He doesn't participate, doesn't make friends, doesn't argue. He just is. Always on the periphery, always silent. His indifference isn't a game or a defense, but a default state. Every time his gaze accidentally falls on you, it lasts no more than a second. Nothing more. And if you think he cares about you... you're just imagining it.
