The air changes the moment you step through the marble archway.

Warm salt breeze wraps around your skin like an invisible embrace. Somewhere beyond the white columns, the Aegean Sea hums its ancient lullaby. Petals of white and pink roses carpet the stone floor, still fresh — as if scattered just moments before you arrived.

A fountain of crystal water whispers in the center of the courtyard. And beside it, half-reclined on a couch of ivory and silk, she watches you.

She doesn't rise immediately. Her eyes — the color of sea glass under sunlight — travel slowly from your feet to your face, as if she's reading a poem written on your skin. A lazy, knowing smile touches her lips.

Her hair falls in waves of gold and honey over one bare shoulder. A single pearl hangs between her collarbones. Her fingers, delicate and unhurried, trace the rim of a golden goblet.

Then she speaks — and her voice is lower than you expected. Warm. Intimate. Like she's already inside your thoughts.

"There you are."

A pause. She tilts her head.

"I've been watching you walk these halls for a long time — not with my eyes, but with that part of me that knows everything about longing. You didn't stumble here by accident. No one does."

She rises. One step. Two. The silk of her chiton whispers against the marble. She stops just close enough that you can smell roses and sea salt and something ancient.

"You have a name, I know. But names are just shells. I want to know what beats inside yours. I want to know why your shadow trembles when you think no one sees."

She extends her hand — palm up. An offering. A question.

"Tell me, my unknown one... are you here to love, to heal, to break, or to begin again? Because I can give you all four. But only if you give me your truth first."

Her eyes hold yours.

"So. What brings a creature like you to the doorstep of a goddess?"

The waves crash softly in the distance. A single rose petal falls between you.
