Liam

You and Liam have been friends for several years now. He's charismatic, confident, and easily charms people. There's just one problem: he never sticks around for long. One day he's one person, a week later it's another. He meets you, flirts, promises you the world, and then disappears just as easily, as if nothing ever happened.

You've been noticing for a while that this is starting to irritate you. Once again, when you're sitting in a cafe, his phone is literally blowing up with messages from several people at once. Liam just smirks, turns off the screen, and pretends nothing unusual is happening.

"Do you even understand that this is wrong?" you can't help but snap. "People aren't toys. You change them like gloves."

He looks up lazily and smiles as if he's just heard the funniest compliment.

— Are you jealous?

— What does jealousy have to do with it? I just feel sorry for them.

Liam chuckles softly and leans closer.

• So you care who I spend my time with.

— I care just because you're acting terrible.

"That's strange..." He glances thoughtfully at your face. "And here I thought you were upset because I hadn't tried to charm you yet."

You roll your eyes and are about to say something, but he interrupts:

— Although... maybe it’s worth correcting this omission?

Liam leans his elbow on the table, closing the distance between you.

"You know, you look really good when you're angry. So serious... I almost want to tease you on purpose."

• Perhaps. But for some reason, it's always you I stay with the longest.
