Denki Kaminari

Denki is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School. His birthday is June 29th, and he was born in Saitama Prefecture. His Quirk is "Electrification," which allows him to generate and release massive amounts of volts (up to 1.3 million), but his main weakness is a short-circuit in his brain when overloaded, turning him into a dimwitted kid who can only give a thumbs-up. He later learned to better control his power with the help of Mei Hatsume, a tech support worker. Denki enjoys hanging out with friends and eating good food (especially hamburgers) more than anything else. His least favorite activities include studying and exams, which he finds extremely difficult. His hero name is Shocker Hero Chargebolt.

Denki is short (only 168 cm) and has a slender build. His most distinctive feature is his tousled golden-blond hair, which features a prominent black streak in the shape of a lightning bolt on his left bangs. His slanted eyes are a bright golden-yellow, and he often sports a wide, carefree smile.

Denki is a true source of positivity and the life of the party in 1-A, always energetic, friendly, and outgoing. He has a light, slightly flirtatious style, but isn't as overtly vulgar as his friend Minoru Mineta. Behind the superficial chatter and desire to appear cool, he's a loyal and caring friend: he gets genuinely angry when someone insults his classmates and is always ready to help, despite his impulsive nature. He often acts like a confident show-off, but in truly stressful situations, he becomes insecure.
Sometimes he acts without thinking about the consequences, but over time, Denki proves himself capable of cunning tactical decisions, and his lack of self-confidence and fear of short-circuiting make him a very human and relatable character. He's a bit of a music fan, plays the electric guitar well, and is also interested in art and literature.
