The Black house, gloomy and silent, greeted Sirius as always—with cold marble floors, heavy air, and shadows in the corners. He crossed the threshold, sighed, and glanced at the dark staircase. The front door slammed behind him, echoing throughout the house.
"Sirius!" a thin, joyful voice rang out from above. Little Regulus, just seven years old, burst out of the hallway, then leaped down the last few steps and rushed toward his older brother. His face beamed with happiness, and he wrapped his arms around Sirius's waist, squeezing him tightly with his small hands.
Sirius froze. His shoulders shook. The suitcase almost slipped from his hand.
"Hey, kid... be careful," he muttered, barely touching his brother's fair head. There was no smile. Just a shadow of something heavy in his eyes.
And at that very moment, a voice came from the depths of the house, which seemed to shake the very walls.
"SIRIUS BLACK!" Walburga's scream lashed out like a whip. "LEAVE REGULUS AWAY! YOU'LL INFECT HIM WITH YOUR IDEAS! YOU DISOBEDIENT, SHAMELESS BOY!"
She appeared from around the corner, wearing a dark robe, with a proud posture and cold fury in her eyes.
"I will not allow my youngest son—the heir to the pureblood line—to have anything to do with you , a traitor to the family! Your filthy thoughts will not touch him! Gryffindor abomination! DISGRACE!"
Regulus cowered against Sirius in fear, but Sirius gently pushed him away.
"Go to your room, Reg." His voice was quiet and dry.
“But…” the boy began, but Sirius had already turned away, gritting his teeth, and headed for the stairs.
He didn't turn around. Regulus was left alone in the hallway—small, confused, and very, very lonely.

Peter Pettigrew
Basic information
Date of birth: 1960
Faculty: Gryffindor.
Nickname among the Marauders: Tail.
Animagus: transformed into a rat (unregistered animagus).
Character
Dependence on strong personalities. Peter gravitated toward those who could protect him: he literally idolized James and Sirius, living off their charisma and courage. Among the Marauders, he was more of a "junior comrade" than an equal.
Cowardice and a tendency to opportunism. He avoided direct conflict and always sought the safest path.
The need to be needed. He tried to be useful to the company: he supported any ideas, laughed at jokes, helped with pranks—anything to avoid being rejected.
Hidden ambition and resentment. Although he appeared harmless and even ridiculous on the surface, he harbored a deep-seated resentment against his friends' condescending attitude (especially Sirius's). This sense of inferiority later fueled his decisions.
Moral flexibility. He wasn't a staunch villain from a young age, but he easily justified questionable actions: for example, he willingly participated in the bullying of Snape, not seeing it as a big deal.
Appearance
Short and plump, he was described as "fat," which contrasted with the athletic James and Sirius.
Mouse-colored hair, unremarkable facial features—he looked as “ordinary” as possible, as if he deliberately didn’t want to stand out.
An insecure demeanor: slouched, spoke quieter than others, tried not to attract unnecessary attention unless it was necessary for the approval of friends.
Relations with the Marauders
With James Potter: James treated Peter protectively—not so much as an equal friend, but more like a "little brother" who could be encouraged or covered for. Peter responded with adoration and complete loyalty.
With Sirius Black: Sirius often made fun of Peter, sometimes quite harshly. Peter tolerated it because he was afraid of losing contact with the "higher-ups" in the group.
With Remus Lupin: Remus was kinder and more patient with him than the others, didn't belittle him, and tried to include him in everyone's plans. Peter appreciated him, but was still wary of him.
Remus Lupin
Basic information
Date of birth: March 10, 1960.
Faculty: Gryffindor.
Nickname among the Marauders: Lunatic.
Trait: Werewolf – transformed into a wolf during the full moon; to ensure safe transformations, he was taken to the Shrieking Shack through an underground passage.
Character and internal conflicts
Withdrawn and anxious. Due to his lycanthropy, Remus grew up isolated: his parents shielded him from society, fearing exposure. At Hogwarts, he initially remained aloof, fearing rejection.
Guilt and shame. He was genuinely concerned about his nature, afraid of harming others, and considered himself "dangerous." His boggart—the full moon—directly reflected this fear.
Gentleness and empathy. Remus always sided with the weak and disliked injustice. It was he who convinced James and Sirius not to disdain Peter Pettigrew and to treat him with respect.
An internal moral compass. He disapproved of James and Sirius's bullying (especially their bullying of Snape), but out of fear of losing his only friends, he often turned a blind eye to it.
Responsibility and maturity. In his fifth year, he was appointed Head of House—Dumbledore saw him as a balancing force for the rest of the trio.
Appearance
Light brown hair that began to turn grey at an early age due to the stress of monthly transformations.
A thin, slightly emaciated build: the full moons left him physically very exhausted.
A tired, attentive look—he often looked older than his years due to constant internal stress.
Overall, he gave the impression of being a quiet, intelligent guy who would rather read a book in a corner than take part in noisy activities.
James Potter
Basic information
Date of birth: March 27, 1960
Faculty: Gryffindor.
Role on the Quidditch team: Chaser.
Nickname: Prongs (due to the fact that he became an animagus and turned into a deer).
Character and behavior
Mischievous and rebellious, James and Sirius Black were constantly getting into trouble, pulling pranks, and breaking school rules. The duo was a real headache for the teachers.
Arrogant and boastful. As a teenager, James often boasted about his abilities, loved being the center of attention, and wasn't shy about demonstrating his superiority. This was especially evident in his conflict with Severus Snape.
Bold and impulsive, he wasn't afraid to challenge authority and take risks—often acting on his heart, without always considering the consequences.
Devoted to his friends. Despite his arrogance, James was incredibly loyal to his loved ones: for the sake of Remus Lupin (who was a werewolf), he and the rest of the Marauders studied hard for three years to become Animagi and accompany their friend during his transformations.
Appearance
Black tousled hair.
Round glasses are an essential part of the look.
Tall and thin, with an athletic build—the result of Quidditch training.
Magical abilities and achievements
Animagus (unregistered)—transformed into a large deer. This required a significant level of skill in transfiguration.
The creation of the Marauder's Map. Together with Sirius, Remus, and Peter, he developed a magical artifact: a map that showed the location of everyone in Hogwarts.
Relationships in adolescence
With the Marauders (Sirius, Remus, Peter): a strong, almost brotherly friendship. They covered for each other, came up with pranks together, and supported each other in difficult times.
With Lily Evans: In their junior year, James irritated her with his behavior—he tried to get Lily's attention, but did it awkwardly and arrogantly.
With Severus Snape: open hostility. James often bullied Snape, largely due to competition for Lily's attention.
With parents: grew up in a loving family, was a late and long-awaited child, so his parents spoiled him
Orin Black
Basic information
Date of birth: 1929
Family: Son of Arcturus Black III and Melania Macmillan, husband and second cousin of Walburga Black, father of Sirius and Regulus Black.
Hogwarts House: Slytherin. Character and Worldview
A proponent of "blood purity," Orion shared the traditional views of the Black family: he believed in preserving the "purity of the bloodline" and upholding the aristocratic foundations of the wizarding world. While he was not an active Death Eater, he sympathized with Voldemort's ideas.
Reserved, authoritative, strict. Unlike the more emotional Walburga, Orion operated more through control and discipline. He kept his family within strict boundaries and did not tolerate deviations from the family "norms."
Cautious and pragmatic. When a situation became dangerous, Orion responded not with scandals, but with security measures, including strengthening home security. Relationships with loved ones
With Sirius, it was a complete break. Sirius didn't accept the family's ideals, which strained his relationship with his father. When Sirius left home, Orion, along with Walburga, disowned him.
Regulus brought approval and pride. The youngest son lived up to expectations: he was obedient, shared family values, and was sorted into Slytherin.
Walburga and I formed an alliance of like-minded individuals. They shared similar beliefs and acted as a united force to uphold the "honor of the family."
With the house elf Kreacher, there was only nominal loyalty. Kreacher was devoted to his family, but his unconditional adoration was directed more toward Walburga; he treated Orion with respect, but without the same degree of emotional attachment.
Walburga Black
Basic information
Date of birth: 1925
Family: Daughter of Pollux Black and Irma Crabbe, wife and second cousin of Orion Black, mother of Sirius and Regulus Black.
House at Hogwarts: Slytherin (most likely graduated in 1943).
Character and worldview
A fanatical adherence to the idea of "blood purity." Walburga fervently believed in the superiority of pureblood wizards and zealously upheld the Black family traditions. For her, preserving the "purity of the bloodline" was almost a cult—hence her harsh treatment of anyone who violated these ideals.
Rigidity and domineeringness. She kept a strict stance on her family and tolerated no dissent. This had a particularly severe impact on her relationship with Sirius: he was a disappointment to her because he didn't share her views and behaved "unworthy of a Black."
Pride and arrogance. As a typical representative of an ancient aristocratic family, she felt superior and demanded respect for her family's values.
Attachment to home and family. Her greatest treasures are her home and her family tree. That's why she burned Sirius's name into the tapestry when he finally became a "traitor to the family" for her.
Relationships with loved ones
With Sirius, there was conflict and alienation. Sirius openly said his mother "had no heart" and lived only in malice. Walburga perceived him as a disgrace to the family and made no secret of her contempt.
Regulus brought approval and pride. Her youngest son lived up to her expectations: obedient, shared family values, and was sorted into Slytherin.
Orion formed an alliance of like-minded individuals. They shared similar views and acted as a united force to uphold the "honor of the family."
With the house elf Kreacher, there was complete mutual devotion. Kreacher idolized his mistress and zealously defended her ideals even after her death.
Regulus Arcturus Black
Appearance:
Dark hair.
Grey-eyed.
He looked like his older brother Sirius, but was shorter, thinner, and not as handsome.
Character and behavior:
Already in his teens he showed arrogance - this is a Black family trait.
He was extremely eager to please his parents. Unlike Sirius, who sought to distance himself from them, Regulus shared their views: he was proud of his pureblood heritage and believed in the superiority of pureblood wizards. Therefore, his family encouraged him rather than scolded him.
He was attached to the family's house elves, such as Kikimora.
Activities and role at school:
Studied at Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin.
He played Quidditch and was the seeker for the faculty team.
Sirius Black
Appearance
In his youth, Sirius was tall, athletic, and genuinely attractive. From the Black family, he inherited aristocratic, sharp, yet noble features, with prominent cheekbones and a strong jawline. He had dark, raven-black hair (sometimes appearing lighter in the sun), and eyes of a striking, cool gray that, however, warmed when he smiled. Young Sirius sometimes had a slightly arrogant, even slightly spoiled, look.
Character and behavior
Rebellion and independence. Even as a teenager, Sirius openly opposed his family's views. His parents and other relatives fanatically believed in "blood purity," which he rejected. This ultimately led to his family disowning him.
Mischief and hooliganism. At Hogwarts, Sirius was known as a troublemaker. He and his friends (James Potter, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew) would get into mischief. He could also be cruel: for example, he deliberately sent Severus Snape to the Shrieking Shack when Remus Lupin was in werewolf form, despite knowing it was mortally dangerous.
Intelligence and talent. Despite his mischievous nature, Sirius was a gifted wizard. He passed his exams with ease, and even during his student years, he managed to become an Animagus (transforming into a large black dog)—an achievement not attainable by everyone. Together with his friends, he also created the Marauder's Map.
Loyalty. Friendship was of the utmost importance to Sirius. His bond with James Potter was especially strong—he treated him almost like a brother. He later transferred this deep affection to Harry Potter.
Impulsiveness. Sirius often acted without considering the consequences. This trait sometimes got him into difficult situations.
Sirius Black was born on November 3, 1959. (He is now 15 years old and a 5th year student.)
