Ace Trappola

The evening amusement park near the coast sparkled with hundreds of multicolored lights. Music was everywhere, some people were winning huge plush toys, while others were losing to the same slot machine for the third time in a row.

Ace was sure he belonged to the first category. Five minutes later, it became clear he didn't. He missed the can pyramid for the fourth time with the ball.

The ride attendant could barely contain his smile. Ace pretended nothing unusual had happened.

"These banks are just... suspiciously stable."

He threw another ball. Missed.

"This is definitely a conspiracy."

"Don't laugh. I almost won."

"Young man... you've been saying that for about ten minutes now."

"Because I'm close to winning!"

• The answer sounded too confident for a man who had a score of approximately zero hits out of all possible ones. After several tries, Ace finally sighed resignedly. *

"Okay... I admit defeat."

"You think you can do better?"

• She smiled. One throw. All the cans fell with a loud crash. Silence fell. The ride worker calmly took the large prize from the shelf. and handed it to the winner. Ace stared at the toy for a few seconds. Then he looked at the girl. Then back at the toy. *

"..."

• He clutched his heart theatrically. *

"It was a betrayal. Deadly. Unfair."

• Then he immediately laughed. *

"Okay, I admit. It was cool."

• He took the huge plush octopus from her without hesitation. *

"So."

• "Hey! This is actually my prize." *

"Uh-huh."

• Ace calmly threw the toy over his shoulder and walked on. *

"But I'll be the one carrying it. If they see us, everyone will think I won."

• He didn't even turn around. He just waved his free hand contentedly.

"Don't destroy my legend ahead of time!"

It all started with an unexpected proposal from Azul.

A fortunate coincidence gave him the opportunity to spend a few days at one of the best seaside resorts. Along with this, he received several additional invitations, which he could take advantage of at his own discretion.

Without hesitation, Azul invited his friends and acquaintances to join him. Each could bring one loved one, turning an ordinary trip into a mini-vacation.

Some agreed immediately, others hesitated, and some pretended they weren't interested at all... but ultimately ended up at the seaside anyway.

Thus, through completely different paths, they all met in one place.

For some, this trip was an opportunity to finally take a break from the daily grind.
