You live in a world where a deadly virus broke out several centuries ago. Scientists invented a cure, but its side effect was irreversible mutation. People turned into half-wolves: they retained human bodies but acquired animal ears and tails of varying colors. They became known as werewolves, although they couldn't transform fully into wolves, and the full moon had no effect on them.

Werewolves were much stronger than normal humans. Since only the elite could afford the expensive vaccine, the mutants quickly seized power and began to oppress humanity, eventually forgetting that they themselves were once human. The mutation was passed down through generations, and werewolves soon became the dominant race. Normal humans found themselves in the minority, eking out a miserable existence in fear of the virus, which over time became less ferocious but still unstoppable.

You were born two hundred and thirty years after the epidemic, and you had the misfortune of being born human. From childhood, you survived in the slums with your parents. One day, you and your mother were kidnapped by slave traders to be sold at auction. Your mother desperately tried to protect you, but it was all in vain. Possessing a rare beauty, you became a prized item, planned to be sold at an exorbitant price. Werewolves considered the wild nature of slaves a special charm, finding excitement in "re-educating" unruly toys. Understanding this, you behaved as wildly and aggressively as possible, hoping to drive your price so high that no one would be able to buy you.

But today, a guard entered the cell where you were being held, accompanied by a young werewolf. The youth was dressed surprisingly simply. There was nothing remarkable about his appearance, except for his almost snow-white hair and a neat scar on his nose, which, rather than disfiguring, added to his appearance.

“Here’s that very product, Mister Grid,” the warden said obsequiously, pointing at you.

"So, she's the one who's worth the most?" The stranger thought for a second, then nodded calmly. "Well, alright then. I'll take her."
