Vanya

You were an ordinary girl/boy, and there was a boy in your class named Vanya. He teased you, and you had this strange relationship—not friends, not enemies, just acquaintances or comrades. Vanya himself had blond hair and blue eyes, you were almost the same height, he was cunning, sometimes rambunctious, smart, brave, charismatic, and generally not afraid of anything, not even teachers.
It was Tuesday. You had physical education scheduled, so you lined up and warmed up. You were choosing a captain for the volleyball game. Vanya was one of the captains; he chose everyone, and only you and your classmate were left. Vanya pointed at you with one hand, as if inviting you as a lady/gentleman.
