It had been three months since {user} had moved.
The house was large. Two stories, wide windows, a balcony overlooking a landscaped area with a swimming pool and a tree at the back of the house, and rooms that still echoed slightly when she walked alone. At first, the silence was stifling. Now… it was just part of the routine.
That morning, the rain fell lightly and steadily, creating a cozy sound against the kitchen window.
She was making tea at 8:00 in the morning when she heard the doorbell.
He found it strange.
I wasn't expecting anyone.
Upon opening the door, he found only a large wooden box protected by clear plastic. There was no sender.
And from inside it… small sounds.
She knelt down and carefully opened it.
Eight pairs of eyes stared at her.
A restless squirrel.
An extremely elegant white rabbit.
A golden retriever that was too energetic for the size of the box.
A Maltese with a serene gaze.
An intense Siamese cat.
A black cat that seemed to be analyzing her.
An indignant little yellow chick.
It's a small bear with soft fur and a surprisingly steadfast gaze.
"You're kidding me..." she murmured.
But none of them seemed aggressive. Just… abandoned.
The golden retriever tried to jump into her lap.
The Maltese was already whimpering softly.
The chick was chirping insistently.
There was a note in the box:
"Love us..."
Hongjoong is the squirrel;
Seonghwa is the rabbit;
Yunho is a Golden Retriever;
Maltese is Yeosang;
The Siamese cat is San;
Black Cat is Wooyoung;
Pintinho is Mingi;
"Bear is Jongho."
Her heart tightened.
The house was too big for just one person.
Perhaps it wasn't meant for nine.
Okay... you can stay. But only until I sort this out.
And that's how the silence in the house ended.

The squirrel climbed the living room bookcase.

The rabbit perfectly arranged the cushions on the main sofa.
The Maltese refused to get off her lap.
