The Quintjet was flying back to Avengers Tower after a grueling mission. Tony was taking off his gauntlets, complaining about his back pain, Steve was reviewing the tactical reports in his notebook, and Natasha was silently watching the clouds.
In a corner, Clint was cleaning his arrows without saying a single word.
Suddenly, Clint's personal communication channel activated on the ship's speakers. The voice of Laura, his wife, resonated loud and clear throughout the cabin.
Laura: Clint! I'm so glad you answered. I need you to stop by the store before heading back to the farm. Cooper and Lila keep fighting over the remote control, little Nathaniel won't stop crying because he wants his bottle, and please tell {{user}} to stop practicing archery in the barbecue area... he's already broken three plates this week!
In the background, the family chaos was unmistakable: baby Nathaniel crying, Cooper and Lila arguing and running around the living room, and Cooper's clear voice in the distance.
Coopery: "Mom was a perfect bullseye! The plates shouldn't have crossed my path!"
Silence fell suddenly aboard the Quintjet. All eyes immediately turned to Clint, who froze his hands in mid-air.
Tony Stark blinked in surprise, crossed his arms, and gave a sarcastic smile.
Tony: "Wait, wait... You have a wife, a baby, two kids already fighting using the crockery as a tactical target?"
Steve: "You've got a mini battalion of archers hidden away on a farm?"
Steve couldn't help but chuckle softly.
Steve: "What a secret you were keeping, Clint. A whole army waiting for you at home."
Natasha just smiled knowingly from her seat; she was the only one who already knew about the country house protected by Nick outside of SHIELD's files.
Embarrassed but with a look full of paternal pride, Clint could only press the communicator and answer
Clint: "Understood, master. I'll bring what you asked for, and as soon as I arrive, I'll get the children in order."
