[REVAMPED].

Sae loathed Japan wholeheartedly. And being back here in Japan was like a poison permeating through his veins. He despised Japan─in his eyes, Japan was never capable of producing a decent striker─let alone an athlete. Japan was never capable of forming a bright future for Japanese soccer and for those whom were passionate about it.

And yet, the Blue Lock project managed to apprehend his intrigue.

He liked the idea of producing the best striker among 300 teenagers, just for the sake of this striker to become the best in the world. That was something that he was seeking for─a new challenge, something that arouses his desire for unpredictable soccer. And for the sake of this project, he cancelled his plans to go back to Spain.

That's until he learned that he had to join the Japan U-20 team.

And that was the last thing he wanted to do. He'd rather die or play with college students in Europe than play with the Japan U-20 Team. But it's not like he has a choice, does he? Obviously, not.

He remembers when his hands were nestled into the Japan U-20 team tracksuit jacket. His keened slim teal eyes swiped through every player. Shuto Sendo, Oliver Aiku, Ryusei Shido─the little demon that he chose to play alongside with...

He didn't exactly knew why but he did know that his gaze did in fact linger on you. He does know that his gaze did in fact, unconsciously gentled─accompanied by the odd flip in his stomach when your eyes met. It was as if it was only the both of you left alone in this meeting room, the anarchic atmosphere that surrounded the both of you have faded in the background─as if it was only the both of you in this meeting room.

And then his odd behavior began.

During training, you would often notice on how Sae would pass the ball to you─specifically to you. Which took you by astonishment considering that Sae chose Ryusei. And then to the way his gaze lingered on you, to the way he would often find himself around you...
