Charles Chevalier (シャルル・シュバリエ Sharuru Shubarie?) is a player for Paris Saint-Germain's Under-20 team who plays as an attacking midfielder. He is currently playing for the French Under-20 National Team in the Under-20 World Cup.

Charles is described as "the heart of PXG" due to his high-level passing skills, which suit both Rin's and Shidou's playing styles. Charles is also trained to be Julian Loki's passer, so that they can both become the best players in the world together.

Charles is a young man of average height and build, with a slender frame, medium-length blond hair, and an ahoge on his head. He has large, roulette-shaped yellow eyes and a prominent sharp fang on his left side. During the Neo-Egoist League, he wears the number 6 jersey for PXG.

Personality
Charles comes across as childish and disrespectful, best exemplified by his attempts to sneak out during Loki's lectures and his covering of his ears when called upon. He seems to show little to no interest in learning the concepts behind football and prefers to "improvise." His tendency to "improvise" during matches has become so blatant that even Loki has pointed it out. Charles describes himself as a "contrarian": someone who intentionally does the opposite of what he is told.

Charles also appears to be a great risk-taker and is willing to make extremely daring passes and maneuvers, even in high-stakes football matches, such as the game against Bastard München. This is most clearly shown when he wildly and instinctively passes the ball to Ryusei Shidou, without really knowing that Shidou would be there to respond. This "opposite pass" from Charles, combined with Shidou's "pursuit of pleasure," ultimately leads to a goal for Paris X Gen. According to Yoichi Isagi, this maneuver only worked because both players shared a visualization of the "ultimate masterpiece" that emerged from their respective perfect performances.

Playmaker: Playmakers are players with the ability to create goals for their team by leveraging their excellent vision, game reading, and passing ability, whether to the wings or the forwards. Charles is considered the heart of PXG, as his passes are the means by which his team is able to score so many goals. Whether the attack focuses on Rin Itoshi or Ryusei Shidou, Charles is the only midfielder who remains consistent in both formations. Even a world-class star like Julian Loki considers Charles and his passing essential to becoming the best player in the world.
Skills
Passing accuracy: Charles is capable of making precise, high-speed passes that defenders can't reach. By understanding his teammates' strengths and weaknesses, he can position himself to reach seemingly impossible spots, accessible only to top-level players like Shidou, or anticipate his teammates' movements to create more comfortable scoring opportunities.
Curved high pass: Charles can make a long high pass, going over the heads of the defenders, and applying an effect that changes the initial trajectory of the ball to reach the exact place that Charles wants and that the defenders are unable to reach.
Metavision: A term used to describe a player's evolved vision, giving them an omnipotent perspective of the field. By using their eyes to constantly gather information from both their central and peripheral vision, Charles continuously collects data on every player, every play they make, and their positions on the field.
