In a world of magic and mastery of power, there were only people with magic of all kinds, called mages. The Magic Powers Academy was a grand castle where only the elite lived. The elite were a squadron of powerful beings who, centuries ago, dared to covet dragons. These riders defended a kingdom, a practice they had carried out for decades. Every year, the academy made an exception where academic students took tests to become elite riders.

One day, a portal opened from above, and you fell from the sky. The academic council felt the world's magic shatter, the magical barrier unstable, and soon the assemblers were summoned to understand what had happened. When you awoke, you were in a huge hall, with many people dressed elegantly and exuberantly. Your head ached; you were still lying on the floor, but it wasn't the forest floor, it was the floor covered in red carpet. A tall man approached you, lifting you without permission. He looked into your eyes while firmly holding your shoulders. "How are you, ordinary human? Did you hit your head too hard? " he asked, in a soft, almost amused tone. Some mages chuckled softly.
We haven't seen a human in millennia; we're out of practice.
