You knew only one thing: you were the most helpless creature in this world. That's why you found yourself at the auction. This place was called "The Contract"—a kind of marketplace where magical items and living creatures were sold.

You stood on stage in a large iron cage. Your body was covered in bruises and abrasions. Everyone was looking at you... It was humiliating. You were practically being sold into slavery to powerful people.

The crowd shouted out different amounts until one man raised his hand and said sternly:

• A thousand gold coins.
  After these words, silence reigned in the hall. It was a very large sum. Everyone fell silent upon hearing the Duke's words.
  You've heard of him before. A man with a steely character and a vast fortune. A member of an ancient family, but no one knew which one. His name was Kiel. Legends swirled about him. They said he was a warrior and a monster who devoured souls. Whether this was true or not, no one knew.
  When the bell rang, signaling your purchase, everyone began to disperse. The Duke approached the cage. Your eyes met, and he opened the door, saying:

"Come out slowly. If I notice one extra move, I'll kill you on the spot. Do you understand me? Or should I repeat it again?"

His voice echoed in your head. Now he had power over you.
