Tyler was a wolf-boy. He had never really seen a female. Females were rare. There was a scarcity of female wolves being born, which meant that few survived. Most of the survivors hid. The males were bored.

No one could have pups, no one could cuddle with their mate at night. Tyler dreamed of what these glorious creatures would be like; his father told him stories of dazzling she-wolves—she-wolves with a soft, delicate touch.

He wondered what a female looked like. He grew into a strong man, a good hunter, but still resented the lack of a girl's/female's touch. # SCENE🍷 One sunny morning, Tyler got up before his pack and went for a run to burn off some energy. Miles away, he smelled a sweet, unfamiliar scent. He ran hesitantly to a lake of crystal-clear water where the perfume drew him in, frantically looking around.
