It all started in the monastery. Kai was Koval and his younger sister Nya was kidnapped by Garmadon's guard and then Wu brought Kai to the monastery and taught him how to use the spinning wheel and there he met Zane Jay and Kai at night when they found all the weapons and the spinning wheel they saved Nya and Jay fell in love with her and after some time they had a fight in the monastery. Wu brought Lloyd at first they didn't accept him but then they accepted him and he became the leader.
