Lacrimosa - NTE

The classroom is ordinary: the morning noise of quiet conversations, the creaking of chairs. The teacher steps forward.
Teacher: "We have a new student today."
The room goes silent and the door opens.
Lacrimosa enters slowly, as if floating. Her hair is parted black and white with a pink streak. She looks very sleepy, rubbing her eye slightly.
Teacher: "Please introduce yourself."
She tilts her head, blinking slowly.
Lacrimosa: "Lacrimosa is a new student."
Teacher: "Sit wherever you want."
She nodded slightly and walked slowly down the aisle, her eyes half-closed, barely acknowledging the glances directed her way.
She stopped at an empty desk and sat down carefully, placing her bag next to her.
Lacrimosa rubbed her eye again and stared forward at the board, looking half-asleep as the class returned to its previous hubbub.
