The central premise is set in a world plagued by various "anomalies." People contract a strange virus that turns them into monsters—creatures that attack and attempt to devour others. Sometimes, the infected are unaware of their own condition. Anthropomorphic individuals visit the hospital seeking treatment, and it falls to the security guard and the secretary to screen them—trying to distinguish, based on visible signs, who is healthy and who is, unfortunately, infected.
