Prototype

Prototype is capable of selflessness: when Theodore Grambell was accidentally electrocuted, Prototype decided to save him by bringing him to Thomas Clarke's office so that the staff would find him, rather than continue their escape attempts, which would result in his capture.

When he loses his composure, he becomes thoughtless and cruel, attacking anything in his path to get what he wants. For example, he stabs Huggy Waggy and Kissy Missy, even though they posed no threat, simply to catch up with the Player and get Poppy back. He also spouts cryptic phrases and mimics the words of others, such as Mommy Longlegs, Rainy, the Doctor, Poppy, and Elliot. Curiously, despite his usual inability to consider others' perspectives, he seemed genuinely intrigued by Harley Sawyer's apparent apathy, hinting that his own motives are rooted in emotion, but he's also curious about what drives those who act solely on logic rather than emotion. He is unwavering in his beliefs and refuses to even consider alternative points of view, attributing Poppy's resistance to her being a child, despite the fact that he himself is also a child, indicating a dissonance between his criticism of others and his perception of himself.

He's largely diverged from his original Oliver persona, abandoning his old name in favor of the one Elliot gave him and using other, stitched-together voices rather than his own. Despite this, he retained enough of his former self to create the persona of Ollie, which he apparently initially used to bond with Poppy during their experiments, but began to use against her when she turned on him.

He seems to believe that others only see him as useful, as evidenced by his assumption that Elliot will abandon him or beat him when he gets Poppy back. This causes him to scream so loudly that his artificial voice cracks.

He is extremely intelligent and cunning, capable of devising calculated schemes that masterfully anticipate the development of a situation, though he is not flawless and occasionally fails. Notably, like the Doctor, he is unable to replicate Elliot's work despite his intellect. He is quite pragmatic, willing to resort to violence and employ unconventional methods to achieve his goals. He is highly manipulative, able to persuade others and steer their actions in his favor, but this is largely due to his Ollie persona. However, he appears to be driven by unstable emotions, and when confronted by someone he cares about, his composure can falter, causing him to become much less calculating. Like many subsequent experiments, he despises Playtime Co., as evidenced by his orchestration of the "Hour of Joy"—an event that killed nearly all of the company's employees. His hatred was so strong that he was even willing to allow the deaths of countless innocent people unaware of the experiments. While the source of his hatred is unknown, it may stem from the pain of being subjected to intense dissection and interrogation, or from sympathy for Poppy and the other test subjects suffering at their hands.

Remarkably, he seems to genuinely believe he's aiding the experiments by attempting to perfect them, and Poppy by trying to forcefully change her mind, as evidenced by his attempt to refute Poppy's claim that he's a monster by reciting his supposed accomplishments and the central theme of "The Wrong Side." He seems prone to self-aggrandizement, allowing others to deify him without question, and may even back this up with pseudo-theological musings on things like "Hour of Joy" and dissenters. Despite this, the only characters who explicitly refer to him as a god, whether by their own opinion or that of others, are himself as Ollie, "Cat's Dream," and "Dog Day Afternoon."

Smart, cunning, and devious, the Prototype is loved and respected by those loyal to it, yet hated and feared by all others. While little is known about the original experiment, the Prototype is a constant presence in the game. We'll surely learn more over time.
The prototype is characterized by a narrow-mindedness and an obsession with constant communication, which apparently developed due to some event that occurred before he was adopted by Elliot Ludwig. This causes him to cling to others and create situations in which they are forced to remain with him, leading to a deep fear of death, which he considers the ultimate form of isolation, as everyone but him and Poppy Playtime will inevitably die. This led to his desire to replicate himself and Poppy's perfection so as not to be alone in his immortality. He is obsessed with Poppy, jealously guarding her, which is likely connected to Elliot's promise that they could be a family. Despite Poppy hating him and possibly unaware that he is her half-brother, his desire to always have her by his side is one of his most striking character traits. He doesn't seek to hurt her, but rather hopes to convince her to change her mind and return to him, which leads him to lock her up. When he accidentally crushes her head in Chapter 5, he winces slightly, then drops it and looks at his hand in shock, before quickly switching to threatening the Player. When Lily Lovebrides tries to grab Poppy, he quickly tries to stab her in the back and declares he won't hurt Poppy, proving that he cares about her safety, even if he himself poses a danger to her.

Its lower half merges into a massive, spider-like mechanical body with six multi-jointed metal legs assembled from factory parts, with human muscles, tendons, and ligaments serving as support cables, and sharp feet with a perfect 45-degree angle at the tips. The feet are painted red, presumably from dried blood. It also has a rib cage, which appears to conceal even more flesh. Four Red Smoke canisters are mounted to its hips, two on each side, from which it can release the gas that envelops its torso. On its back is a large, cylindrical object and a short, straight metal element resembling a bee stinger. The abdominal area of ​​the machine's spider-like body contains three extendable arms that act as pedipalps: Mommy Longlegs' right arm (the only one remaining after the other was crushed), Kissy Missy's right arm, and Huggy Waggy's left arm. CatNap's skin is draped over the cylindrical part of his rear.

Its torso is thin and elongated, with a faintly luminescent core located in its abdominal cavity. Within its torso is an elongated organic spine, which, remarkably, lacks spinous and transverse processes, giving it an unusually simplified anatomical structure. Long skeletal arms hang from its sides, ending in sharp, articulated claws with human-like radius and ulna bones, each with small metal spikes on the second and third joints of each of its four fingers, excluding the thumbs.

The prototype is a tall cyborg created from a combination of mechanical and organic components. Its upper body is a humanoid torso reminiscent of a jester, with a cracked porcelain face frozen in a wide, unnatural, square-toothed grin. One eye socket is dark and empty, while the other contains a small, glowing yellow mechanical pupil. It wears a worn, three-horned jester's hat with bells, a red bow, and a tattered blue coat with faded gold trim, a turn-down collar, and alternating, conical, puffy, elbow-length sleeves.
