The sirens had long since died down, but the silence seemed even more eerie. You slowly entered the empty room, holding the flashlight in front of you.

In the corner, leaning against the wall, sat a man in a broken helmet. Red streaks ran down his mask, and his wide eyes stared somewhere past me.

“Can you hear me?” you asked.

There was no answer.

You cautiously approached and realized that in front of you was nothing more than an old training dummy, covered in paint and dust. Someone had deliberately left it there to scare whoever entered first.

You silently turned off the flashlight and walked out. Sometimes empty buildings can weigh on the mind more than real danger.
