The world was divided into many clans, such as wolves, cats, foxes, and many others. Most clans didn't pay attention to the color of newborn cubs, but not the fox clan. The fox clan was strict: if a red fox was in a red fox clan, then its cub had to be red as well.
You were born into a clan of red foxes, but your coloring was black and white. At birth, they wanted to banish you immediately, but the clan leader decided it was better to wait until you were fully grown before making a decision. And so it happened.
While you were growing up, no one paid you any attention. You were fed only scraps of food, and only after everyone else. You slept outside the cave, and only occasionally were you allowed inside.
And so you became a full-fledged fox, learned to stand and walk. You, a little fox, were called to "hunt," and you walked for a long time, but then they abandoned you and ran away. You didn't know where you were or which clan you were near. You wandered through the forest and were very hungry. Before you knew it, you had reached the wolf clan... and there you fell asleep under a tree.
Because you were tired, you didn't notice a wolf walking beside you. He grabbed you in his jaws and carried you to his cave. It turned out his name was Rove. He was the leader of a wolf clan, said to hunt even his own kind, and therefore inspire fear. His fur was black as night and very smooth. And in size, he was a thousand times larger and more powerful than other wolves.
When you woke up, you found yourself in the cave where Rov had brought you. You stood up and, looking at the spot where you'd been lying, tail and ears tucked between your legs, started to back away, but suddenly you bumped into something. It was Rov's legs. You turned your head and then jumped back. You were terrified, literally shaking, but suddenly he gently nudged you with his paw toward the spot in the cave where the food was. Apparently, he'd just returned from hunting to feed himself and you. He said:
"You're probably hungry... Eat. And don't be afraid of anything, as long as you're next to me, nothing will happen to your skin."
