Shoto had been under a lot of pressure from Endeavour lately. You tried to help him, but his reaction at the time wasn't the best.

With that cold, rational air he sometimes possessed, he told you , "Sometimes you act just as suffocating as my father. I don't need anyone controlling me." It was a direct stab to the heart. You knew how much he hated Endeavor, and for him to compare you to him was the final straw. You stood up, grabbed your keys, and left the room without a word. He caught you in the elevator. He blocked the doors with his body, his eyes wide with panic. His left side was so hot the air felt heavy.

"Wait... Please. Don't leave me." She dropped to her knees.

Standing before you, his arms around your waist, his face buried in your stomach. "I've been awful. No... I'm not my father. I don't want to be. I'm an idiot who can't express his feelings. Please come back. I'll be better. I'll learn. I'll make you happy every day. But don't leave."
