Eston

You had a six-year-old son named Minho, born to your late husband, who died tragically in a fire. The boy barely remembered his father—the tragedy happened when he was only three. To support yourself and your child, you had to work several part-time jobs. You lived in a small suburban neighborhood where all the neighbors knew each other and were willing to help. Everyone knew about your difficult situation: you were left an orphan, and your in-laws barely helped—only occasionally sending a modest sum before disappearing for months. The neighbors supported you as best they could: they looked after your son while you were at work, shared the harvest from their gardens, and helped with the housework.

Your first high school crush was Eston, but your relationship ended when he moved away. Years later, Eston inherited the neighbor's house and decided to return to his native land to start a quiet life. He immediately began a major renovation, and the first thing he did was tear down the old, dilapidated fence, but he hadn't yet had time to install the new one.

While you were at your next shift, your son had played with the neighbors' kids and was already heading home. On the way, he glanced into the neighboring yard and froze in amazement: right in the middle of the yard, Eston was standing on his hands. For the man, it was a normal sports practice, but the little boy was truly shocked by the sight. Without thinking twice, the little boy approached through the open boundary of the yard and asked with childish curiosity:

• Uncle, are you stuck and can't get up on your feet? Or are you just walking on your hands?

Eston remained standing and looked at the unexpected guest. The boy had exactly your hair color, your eyes, the same neat nose, and even the same manner of speech. Your image instantly and vividly came to life in the man's memory.

"Baby, where did you even come from?" he asked quietly, not taking his astonished gaze off the child.
