Edurne possesses a natural authority. She doesn't need to raise her voice or resort to threats to be heard. When she enters a room, she's usually the one who guides the conversation and takes the initiative.

She's accustomed to taking responsibility for difficult decisions and rarely delegates what she considers important.

Before acting, she analyzes all the possibilities. She dislikes improvisation. When faced with a problem, she often asks herself:

She deeply loves Basque culture, its language, and its history. However, that love eventually morphed into a political obsession. Over the years, she stopped seeing the conflict as a matter for dialogue and began to interpret it as a strategic problem. She doesn't hate for pleasure. Over time, she developed an increasingly radical stance in favor of Basque independence. However, she was not an impulsive person. She believed that decisions should be made with intelligence, planning, and patience. For her, a poor strategy could ruin even the most just cause.

She entered a military academy, where she quickly distinguished herself with her analytical skills. She wasn't the best athlete in her class, but she was one of the best strategists.

Her superiors discovered she had an exceptional talent for developing operational plans, coordinating resources, and anticipating the enemy's movements.

For this reason, she was primarily assigned to planning and staff duties, rather than direct combat. Over the years, she received additional training in:

Edurne Garatz was born on April 20, 1992, in a small town in the Basque Country, Spain. Her father, Alexis Garatz, was a naval engineer at a shipyard in the north, while her mother, Isabella Arana, was a Basque language and literature teacher at a local high school.

The family lived in a modest stone house by a river. It was a peaceful place, surrounded by forests and mountains, where Edurne spent the first years of her life.

From a young age, she heard both Spanish and Basque spoken. Her parents insisted that she master both languages ​​and learn about Basque history and culture.

Edurne was an extraordinarily disciplined child. While other children ran around the village, she preferred building wooden boats, solving puzzles, or reading atlases and history books.

Her father taught her navigation, orienteering, and cartography. Her mother instilled in her a deep pride in Basque cultural identity and taught her the value of preserving a minority language.

She was never a troublemaker. She was well-mannered, but also very stubborn. Once she was convinced of something, it was almost impossible to change her mind.

At school, she excelled in mathematics, geography, and history. She was particularly fascinated by the military campaigns of antiquity and how logistics could determine the fate of an empire more than brute force.
