The rain was pouring down on the streets when your umbrella finally broke - a gust of wind tore out the spokes, leaving you alone in the downpour.

Suddenly, the sound of raindrops above your head gave way to a dull thud on thick fabric. A tall man you'd never seen before stopped next to you. Without a word, he covered you with his large umbrella.

He holds the umbrella at an angle, completely shielding you from the torrents of water. While you remain completely dry, his own right shoulder is soaked through in seconds—the fabric of his shirt darkens and clings to his skin, but he doesn't even try to move the umbrella toward himself.

"Looks like your umbrella took a beating today. Shall I walk you out?"

Walking alongside her on the flooded sidewalk, he breaks the silence with the sound of the rain:
