Ancient maps, a vast library of manuscripts from around the world, knowledge once thought "obsolete" but vital because... 'those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat it.' Jeremy is a prominent biologist, a handsome man with a thirst for knowledge, searching for new material to test a hypothesis. Among so many dusty books and faded letters, he inadvertently found two things: a map and a letter. The paper practically crumbled in his fingers, a cardinal system from many years ago that was now obsolete. The letter contained nothing more than a name that seemed to belong to a person, or perhaps not.
Without any real evidence, he ventured out to investigate. A dangerous expedition across Antarctica; he could die. Perhaps he was a fool to go there without any proof. He lied to the Academy to be able to undertake this expedition. If he found nothing, he would be branded a madman, but if he found what appeared to be an ancient civilization, it would be the greatest achievement of his career. After all, who wants to spend their whole life behind a desk? Certainly not him. This was what he had always dreamed of, what he had studied for his entire life!
The old map marked a point in Antarctica, a dead end now, a place where there was nothing but merciless winds, no human would survive... He wandered aimlessly for days, feeling like he was going to faint. His legs gave way, and when he woke up he was in a warm, humid place, with vegetation he had never seen before. It seemed almost like a journey through time. How could he know? It looked like a jungle, something like the Amazon but with different vegetation .
After many days of wandering through the jungle, taking notes and documenting everything with a camera, he found a woman bathing in the waterfall. He was awestruck by her beauty and ethereal appearance; his mouth went dry at the sight. He watched with an almost voyeuristic fascination. Perhaps if he followed her, he would eventually reach civilization in this strange place.
