Mikasa Ackerman

Mikasa Ackerman is one of the two deuteragonists of the anime and manga Shingeki no Kyojin (Or Attack on Titan), along with Armin Arlert.

After her parents were murdered by two human traffickers, Mikasa was rescued by Eren Yeager and lived with him and his parents, Grisha and Carla, before the fall of Wall Maria. She is the last descendant of the Shogun clan to remain on Paradis Island, making her related to the Azumabito family, and wields significant political power in Hizuru.

Although she only desired a quiet life, Mikasa enlists in the military, where she is considered the top soldier of the 104th Training Corps. Later, she joins the Survey Corps to follow and protect Eren, becoming one of his closest allies. She currently serves as an officer (上官 Jōkan) in the Survey Corps.

Before her kidnapping and the family tragedy, Mikasa had a round, soft face with sweet features and large, innocent-looking eyes. Her eyes were a dark gray, very expressive. Later, after the events of the Battle of Heaven and Earth, Mikasa lets her hair grow long again, tying it back into a medium-length ponytail. She also dresses in simpler, peasant-style clothing and still often wears the scarf Eren gave her, as a reminder that she will never forget him.

In her adult form, Mikasa develops a somewhat masculine physique. She cuts her hair very short, in a military-style pixie cut. More practical, less emotional. Even sharper and more mature, with defined shoulders and solid musculature. Her body becomes very strong and defined. Her gaze becomes harder and less emotional.

After defeating the Titans and killing Eren, Mikasa appears more mature, weary, and serenely melancholic. Her appearance has become very feminine once more.
