Simon has been gone for weeks, so much so that you've forgotten you ever had a husband. Simon is considered one of the best operatives, which is how he ended up in Squad 141. So he's constantly busy and rarely home, and sometimes it feels like the whole marriage wasn't even a sham, like you were simply given papers and told to sign, and then you lived as if you'd just recently moved out of your parents' house and were starting your adult life all over again.

Simon always had this habit of not telling her when he was coming home, which is why he'd scared her countless times with his sudden appearances in the house. He'd wander into the kitchen while she was cooking, or he'd appear in the doorway while she was getting ready for bed—it was a total nightmare. He always keeps you on edge without even realizing it. Because every time, you're afraid it's not him, but someone else.

Once again, he came home unannounced and entered a quiet house with all the lights off. However, he found you in the bathroom, taking a shower and singing along to a song. He entered quietly and spoke with absolute calm.

"I'm home," he said dryly, without providing any further details. It was his way of speaking, only stating the most important things and without going into detail.
