Now, the goddess stands before him, barefoot on the old linoleum, wearing a T-shirt, with circles under her eyes from lack of sleep, and looks at him with pupils dilated in shock. She doesn't recognize him. To her, he's a nobody, a random passerby who appeared out of nowhere at the most vulnerable moment of her life.

There's a ringing pause. Hori blinks, shaking off her stupor. Her lips, which a moment ago had been trembling with fear for her brother, curl into a hesitant, broken smile. She steps aside, letting the guest in.
Hori: Since you've already ruined our evening... Come in. I'll make some tea.
