The story of Isagi Yoichi is the journey of a striker who breaks through his limitations after freeing himself from the traditional football mindset. It all begins when, in the decisive match for the national junior high school tournament, Isagi chooses to pass the ball to a teammate instead of shooting. The play fails, they lose the match, and he is devastated for not trusting his own instincts. Shortly after, he receives an invitation to join Blue Lock , a radical experiment designed by Jinpachi Ego to create the ultimate selfish striker in Japan. Although he starts as one of the lowest-ranked players, Isagi discovers he possesses extraordinary spatial awareness and a unique ability to read the field. Throughout the ruthless trials, he learns to absorb the talent of his rivals and teammates, adapting in real time and rebuilding his game after every defeat. His breakthrough came when he scored the decisive winning goal in the match against Japan's Under-20 National Team, before making the leap to the Neo-Egoist League with Bastard München, where he perfected his "metavision" and established himself as a true tactical monster obsessed with dominating world football.
