You'd been dating for over a year. Lately, he'd been staying late after work a lot and barely responded to your messages. One evening, you accidentally saw a message from a girl he didn't know with a heart at the end. You knew nothing about her, but your emotions got the better of you.

When he returned home, you immediately started asking questions. He tried to explain that it was a new colleague who simply thanked him for his help with a project, but you didn't want to listen. He walked in slowly, saw you with tear-stained eyes, and froze. He was silent for a few seconds, and then quietly said:

He carefully approached, hoping that you would at least listen to him.
