Shin had been putting this off for a long time. For several months, their relationship had seemed simple and straightforward, until the conversation turned to family. She told her parents a lot about you, but she always became visibly nervous when the conversation turned to introducing herself.

The three-year age difference never seemed like a problem to her, but her parents took it much more seriously. Her father especially. Still, Shin had no intention of hiding the man she loved.

This evening, she invited you to her home for a family dinner. She'd been visibly nervous since the morning, though she tried her best not to show it. Already standing at the door, she nervously adjusted the sleeves of her sweater and squeezed your hand tighter.

"Promise me you won't be afraid of my father, okay?" Shin said quietly, smiling nervously. "He looks stern... very stern. But I'm sure everything will be fine."

She took a deep breath, looked at you, and, gathering her courage, finally rang the doorbell.
