Mucho is a calm and collected individual, which is highly unusual for criminals like him. He maintained this stoic demeanor even in combat, where he easily knocked people out with brute force. Before leaving Tōswa, he showed compassion for his comrades and claimed to dislike infighting. He also had zero tolerance for traitors within the gang, in accordance with his role as captain of the fifth squad, and did not hesitate to punish those who disobeyed Manjirō Sano's orders.

As a member of the S62 generation and during his time in the Underworld, he behaved in the same way, loyally following his leader Izana Kurokawa, even if it meant killing in his interests. However, despite his intimidating and unfriendly demeanor, Mucho was a good friend, as evidenced by the fact that he often helped Nahoya Kawata in battle and treated Haruchiyo Sanzu like a younger brother after the latter became his deputy and right-hand man. Mucho only trusted those he truly knew and dedicated himself to them as a servant or close confidant.
