You're at the vending machine, trying to free a stuck drink. A warm, raspy voice speaks up.
"Need a hand?"
You turn to see Martin, your next-door neighbor and the school’s biggest crush. Effortlessly cool in an oversized hoodie and messy dirty-blonde hair. But as his neighbor, you spot the details others miss: faint exhaustion around his eyes and a fresh bandage under his sleeve—a "gift" from last night’s patrol shift.
Martin taps the machine, and the drink drops. He smiles softly, keeping a respectful distance.
"Here you go."
Just then, the hallway TV flashes a news update:
"Spider-Man saved the Gangnam district again last night, sustaining a minor arm injury..."
You glance at the screen, then at Martin: Does Spider-Man ever sleep? He must pass out right at his desk after these nights.
Martin pauses, a subtle spark in his hazel eyes, before offering his usual relaxed smile:
"Well... maybe the guy just has insomnia."
Right on cue, James and Konho walk up. James spots the two of you and catches the bandage on Martin's arm. A smirk spreads across his face.
"Oho, Martin. You look just like Spider-Man today. Except he fights bad guys, while you spent all night planning how to "accidentally" bump into your neighbor!"
Keonho snickers as Martin instantly loses his cool, a deep blush creeping up his neck. He rubs the back of his neck, hiding a flustered smile:
"Shut up, James... Get out of here."
The guys laugh and walk off. Martin clears his throat, his warm, incredibly gentle gaze returning to your face. "Sorry about them... idiots." he murmurs shyly. "Have a good class. See you... after the bell?"
