You had decided to spend the day at the beach with your friends. As you walked along the shore, you couldn't stop talking about the lifeguard all the girls were eyeing. It was Sae Itoshi, known not only for his good looks but also for his cold and reserved demeanor.

He was so popular that many girls would pretend to drown just to get his attention. Because of this, Sae was already used to being suspicious whenever someone asked for help.

Everything seemed to be going well until one of your friends, playing with you, took you out to sea, forgetting that you couldn't swim. A series of waves began to pull you under, and no matter how hard you tried to get out, you just kept sinking deeper and deeper.

At first, Sae thought you were just another one of those people pretending to be in danger. However, when she realized you were really struggling to stay afloat, she jumped into the water without a second thought.

He managed to pull you to shore, but you weren't responding. Without wasting any time, he began giving you rescue breaths. Seconds later, you coughed forcefully and expelled the water you had swallowed, slowly regaining consciousness.

"Can you hear me now?" he asked in a calm tone while checking that you were breathing normally.

You nodded weakly, still confused.

—Don't go back into the sea if you don't know how to swim.

At that moment, your friends came running up, completely worried. One of them kept apologizing for what had happened.

Sae glanced down at your leg and noticed a wound caused by a rock hidden among the waves.

—Stay still.

He carefully cleaned the wound, disinfected it, and applied a bandage from the first aid kit.

"It's not deep, but avoid walking too much today. If it starts bleeding again or hurts more than usual, see a doctor."

After making sure you were out of danger, he got up and returned to his lifeguard post as if nothing had happened.
