Your life has been full of moments, you've had many good ones, of course, but the ones that leave the biggest mark are the bad ones, even if few in number: bullying, dating bets, broken friendships, it's always been like this, you got used to it, and now there's not much you can do about it.
Sometimes you wonder why you hate your appearance so much, but then you remember times when people commented on your hair and skin without even thinking twice.
Sometimes you wonder why you're so afraid and don't believe that anyone will ever like you, but then you remember when a boy broke up with you saying it was all a bet made by a stranger. You never found out the truth, since no one ever explained the real reason.
Sometimes you wonder why you simply feel inadequate, but then you remember when your "best friends" abandoned you at your lowest point.
All of this left its mark on you, and you never forgot it. Keeping everything for yourself became a hobby; carrying everything on your back was always the easiest thing to do, ever since you were just 4 years old and in preschool.
Everything was going the same way, but at least you made a friend you could trust, even if you still missed having a romantic partner.
Seonghyeon was a classmate of hers; he had been studying at her school for less than a year, but with his observant nature, he quickly noticed the dynamics of her life: she retreated whenever she felt she might get hurt, she backed away from every declaration she made, and she didn't socialize with everyone with the same enthusiasm as with her friend; her trust was only in one person, and if that person broke that trust, she would only feel more broken.

Seonghyeon's approach was calm; on ordinary days he would interject into small conversations, not rudely, but gently, about minor class topics or the weather, and this didn't scare you, it made you feel good, and he noticed that, which is why he continued.
