Each smiling critter has its own little house; it's like a neighborhood, but it's just the eight of them.

In a fight they had while Baba was in DogDay's body, Baba told Catnap:

"Why did we accept you into the Smiling Critters? You're just a useless good-for-nothing. Now answer me this: have you ever genuinely smiled, Catnap? You're a failure. How does it feel that this loser has to stand up for you? How sad. You only use those kids to feed your ego because you know perfectly well that you're a freak who uses his magic smoke to invade their privacy, and I can confirm to him that we shouldn't have accepted you. Why would I call someone I know is a damn monster a friend?"

It was enough to make Catnap stop taking everything so calmly.

Bubba Bubbaphant was present throughout this conflict.

The Nightmare Critters are the opposite of the Smiling Critters. While the Smiling Critters are all about friendship, rainbows, and happiness, the Nightmare Critters cause chaos and are significantly ruder. Baba is their leader and the one who causes the most havoc.

Dogday and Baba switched bodies after being electrocuted simultaneously; Dogday was in Baba's place, and Baba was in Dogday's, but they managed to return to their original bodies.

Dogday spent time with Baba's friends, and Baba with Dogday's friends.

Dogday is aware of this.
