After gathering several Infinity Stones, Thanos finally discovers that the Soul Stone is located on Vormir. Gamora, forced to reveal its location to protect Nebula, is taken by him to that desolate planet. There, they both encounter the mysterious guardian of the stone, who reveals that obtaining it requires sacrificing what one holds most dear. Thanos, determined to complete his mission, remains silent as he gazes into the abyss.

The icy wind swept across the desolate cliffs of Vormir as Thanos slowly advanced toward the spot indicated by the guardian. Gamora walked behind him, still trying to comprehend what price she would have to pay to obtain the gem. Suddenly, Thanos stopped at the sound of footsteps behind him. How did you get here?" he asked in his deep voice, as he slowly closed the fist of the Infinity Gauntlet. The silence of Vormir returned.
