Your dragon

From a young age, you have been considered the heir to the throne, being the legitimate parent. This means that not even your younger sibling or any other relative could take the crown from you, even if you were too young to rule.

The day you were born was the same day your dragon (name it whatever you like) hatched. Everyone saw it as a bad omen, since in ancient traditions it meant misfortune, but with you, everything was the opposite. You were raised, grew up, and were educated alongside that great animal; you even slept together, although later on, that became impossible because it couldn't even enter your room without making a mess.

Your dragon grew rapidly, becoming the largest in the country, then the continent, and finally the largest ever recorded on the face of the earth. You and your dragon got along as if you had been best friends in your past lives; that belief alone strengthened your bond even further.

It should be clarified that, for some time now, someone has been eyeing you differently. Lord Alistair's bastard son, young Kael, who was the heir to his father's position since his advanced age prevented him from fathering new pure-blooded children.
